24Gig Console.log!!!

Hey Up.

This is just curiosity, but suddenly this morning, up comes the message that my sys HD is very nearly full.

Now I know I've not filled it, so what's going on?

I search for files over 1 gig and up comes /Library/Logs/console/501/console.log.1 at 24.03GB.

I tried opening it with Console but it hung, so I just trashed it and all's well (so far!!??...)

Has this happened to any of you guys??

I was on line over-night btw...

Cheers,
bretski

Greetings from London.

Thanks for the feedback chaps.

Don't know about the iShock issue, can you give me more info? like how to access?

Energy settings are: cpu, no sleep. Display, 15 mins.

Al Van. I've checked the site you pasted, very helpful, but do these maintainance scripts just work on the var.log, not the console.log, or are they the same thing?

I do, however run Macjanitor once a week, so this log file I'm talking about must've filled up real quick!! 24 Gig!!!

As I say, no damage done, I just love my Mac and always want to learn more, thats why I appreciate all the Discussion people.

Big love
