How can I archive my camera roll?

My iCloud is now almost full, and I don't want to buy more storage. I have over 1000 pic on my camera roll, and would like to archive them off somewhere, and hopefully reduce my iCloud storage. Is this possible?

I am syncing to a Vista PC, and download my pics to Picasa.

After you have the photos saved in picasa, you can delete those photos from iCloud.

Go to https://www.icloud.com click your Apple ID, tap Advanced > and press the Reset Photo Stream button.
