I have permission and password to download a video from Vimeo but see message that "it could not be saved because source file could not be read".
Can someone please guide me through this?

Videos on vimeo are streaming videos. You can download dailymotion videos on any device simply by using this method. The method follows like this:
1. You have to open the vimeo video which you want to download.
2. Copy the video url.
3. Visit Acethinker Video Downloader ( https://acethinker.com/online-downloader ) and paste the url in the box.
4. Click on Download Button.
5. Now choose the quality (4K, 1080P, 720p, 480p etc) in which you want to download the video.
6. After choosing the quality, the download will begin soon.

Spoke too soon. I downloaded http://for-mac.mp4kits.com/guides/vimeo-downloader-for-mac/
and then downloaded the vimeo video which appeared on my screen but when I tried to bookmark it, it disappeared. Should I have saved it some other way??
I'd already downloaded the Vimeo downloader for Mac as you suggested, and I downloaded the video again today and after completion I couldn't open it.
Here's the message:
The document “86218895mystele4.wmv” could not be opened. The movie's file format isn't recognized.
Can you please help?

I purchased flip4mac and downloaded yet again a vimeo video. I saved it to documents (pages) and I can see it there but it's greyed out so I can't open it. What am I doing wrong?
