passwordless ssh localhost

Hi,

I am using Mac OS X Line 10.7.3 MacBookPro. I am trying to connect passwordless ssh localhost. I have followed the below steps to enable.

created ssh keys(id_rsa, id_rsa.pub) and copied to .ssh folder.

2. give permission 700 to .ssh folder and 600 for keys inside .ssh folder.

3.copied id_rsa.pub to authorized_keys

Commands used

ssh-keygen –t rsa.

Chmod 700 .ssh

Chmod 600 .ssh/*

Cat id_rsa.pub >> authorized_keys

but still it id asking password.
