I currently have a windows PC with Airport Extreme setup and running. I wish to extend my wireless network with the Express.
However, in step 2 for the extended wifi base station, my express is not being displayed or recognized by Airport Utility when I plug it in to the power socket. It just keeps blinking amber but is plugged only a few feet away from the Extreme. What do I need to do so the Utility will pickup the express?
I tried to connect the 2 with an ethernet cable and continue with all the instructions, and eventually got a solid green on the Express. But as soon as I disconnect the ethernet and unplug the Express and plug it into the desired location, it starts flashing amber again. The new location isn't too far away and I've tested the location before and that it does receive a decent signal.
