Apr 4, 2012 11:44 AM in response to aewpooleby OGELTHORPE,It is my understanding that the first MBPs came out in 2006 and all had mag safe power adapter connections. The new 'L' shaped adapters work on the old MBPs. I can attest to that since I have a 17" 2006 core duo MBP.
Ciao.

I have a really old macbook pro 17" (2005) and need a replacement 85W power adapter that is not magsafe. Where can I get one from in the UK?
As far as I know all MBP's use the magsafe, are you sure that you don't have a Powerbook?
