I've recently bought a used Ipod from my brother and it has 4039 songs on it. Its an Ipod classic and is VERY old. When I went to transfer purchases, it wouldnt work. Its on manual mode, I've tried right clicking on its name and transfering. No Luck.

I've bought an Ipod classic used from my brother, its very old and had over 4000 songs on it. More then half the reason I bought it off him was because of that many songs. The battery is long dead, but I've spent the money getting an adapter and a dock so it doesn't usally move. I started using Itunes in hopes of getting a new, bigger Ipod, with all the music but when I went to put all my music from the classic to my laptop, it wouldn't work. I've tried everything. Its on manual mode. I've authorized the computer and I've tried right clicking on the Ipods name when it shows up and seclecting "Transfer Purchases". The eject beside the name twirls around a few times then nothing. Please help. I would love to keep the songs my brothers colected.
