simple scripting terminal scripting question

If I'm using the folowing terminal command in AS

set cmd to "exiftool -s -keywords" & " " & thisFilePath & ""

How can I set the result of what the terminal returns to an AS value?

set cmd to "exiftool -s -keywords " & thisFilePath

set cmdResult to do shell scriptcmd

This will execute cmd in a shell and return the result in cmdResult

You should use the full path to exiftool, though
