i run windows 7 and tried to download version 10.6.1 and am not able to install update. is there a problem with this

Do you get an error message when you try to install iTunes? If so, what does it say? (Precise text, please.)

Had the same issue too. Have you tried quitting iTunes first? I had inadvertently left mine open. Upon closing the app, all problems fixed.
