I.need.to.use.a.different.apple.ID.to.buy.books.on.my.iPhone.but.don't.know.how. to.change.the.ID.when.doing.so.
It.only.puts.in.the.password.but.I.need.to.change.the.e-mail.as.well.
iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1
Settings>Store...tap the ID shown...sign out...sign back in with the ID you want to use.
Go to Settings>Store>Apple ID, tap the ID shown, sign out, sign back in using the alternate ID that you want to use.
Thanks, but after following your instructions, I returned to the App Store - but still shows my old emailname@mac.com asking only for password.
Please assist if ;possible.

this is also my experience. i've changed everything possible both in the online apple store and the phone's id
anyone else have an idea?
I had to delete my first Apple ID account and set up another. You really cannot delete the old one, but set up a new one. I deleted all my apps on my phone (or just the ones showing updates available) and then went individually downloaded them under my new account. I only had two that I paid for under the old account, but has to buy them again. I an considering buying a Galaxy 5 because of this issue. Apple obviously needs the cash.
