iPad 3 shows ATT&T shows full signal but no Internet connection

Might be a silly question. but did you purchase a data plan? Because by default 'Cellular Data' is turned on in Settings, which will display both the signal stregnth and carrier... but with out a data plan it will be inactive.
Yes we did purchase a data plan. Checked with AT&T and all is good there. We have owned 7 iPads since they first came out and this is the first time we have had any issues getting the cellular side up and running. The pad works flawless on Wi Fi. Have tried reboots, resetting network, toggle cell data on off. The pad just doesn’t show the 4G icon and says cannot activate cellular network when you try and get online?
Try taking the sim card out and putting it back in after restarting the ipad. You also may need to get a new sim card.
