I recently downloaded the facetime application. It works fairly smoothly however sometimes my camera randomly darkens. Why is that and how do I fix it? This has happened twice since the download occurred.

The first thing to try is to add MUCH more light to your camera subject. Mac cameras work best with LOTS of light.
