just wondering if the macbookpro i5 proc. would suffice for gaming and surfing internet...right now just playing Starcraft 2 on it. I dont mind the 13" screen just wondering more about the hardware and ability to run it.

The processor is fine. The problem is with the integrated Intel GPU. You can do moderate gaming, but nothing particularly demanding. Most modern games will run fine with moderate processors. The real demand is with the graphics processor. The 15 & 17" MacBook Pros have much more powerful discrete graphics processors.
