Turn off the computer and turn it back on, and it's working again, I've left bluetooth off now anyway because I don't need it, but that fixed it for me!
I had cleared PRAM, inserted the speaker jack several times, and tried everything else suggested in other articles, and nothing worked, besides turning off Bluetooth..

Aug 13, 2012 5:47 PMby Lkg4trbl,My ipad2 thought it was hooked up to a dock when it was not... Check by clicking onto the airplay icon next to the sound slider, if dock connector is checked, your ipad thinks it is playing through external speakers. I connected my ipad to the original apple connector for charging, unplugged it, and the sound came right back! Make sure its an Apple connector.

They will replace your output card, and anything else they find wrong with your computer for around $500. It will be worker better than new when you get it back. :)
