What folder are we talking about? I see a Disc, the Hard drive and a Network in your screen shoot.
And just for clarification what is the purpose for this alias, or how do you intend to use it?

See if this helps:
Create an alias to a top-level Samba folder
http://hints.macworld.com/article.php?story=20060810045911541
or simply:
Click the "Finder" icon in the dock.
Click the "Go" menu at the top of the screen.
Click "Computer."
Click the desired volume to select it.
Hold the "Shift" key while dragging the volume to the location where the alias is to be created. For example, drag "Macintosh HD" to the desktop to create an alias of the internal hard drive on the desktop.
I don't think you can create an alias to it because that is not a folder or other file item, but rather a representation of the devices connected to your machine. The Finder does have a preference to show that in the sidebar, though.
Well
you follow this to make finder open in a specific directory (in our case Computer folder)
http://www.ehow.com/how_4531221_change-default-finder-window-directory.html
then you go to /System/Library/CoreServices/Finder.app and create an alias of the finder itself and there you go
Ah - you are not creating an alias of the computer/device, but just opening a new Finder window after setting that as the default. Since your Finder alias needs to be on the Dock to work, you can accomplish the same thing by just clicking on the original Finder icon.
It's ok I figured it out. You have to set the finder preferences to open that folder and then you can simply create a finder alias, aaand there you have it
I'm talking about the folder that is one level above the Macintosh HD. When you're in macintosh hd and do cmd+ up arrow you'll find yourself in this folder but I can't create an alias of it
Are we talking about the same thing? I cannot create an alias of that (from a standard account) by menu, dragging, or changing an existing alias.
