Core i7-2720QM on Macbook pro 2011: Turbo Boost doesn't work! It's possible?

I test my core speed with MacCPUID that show real time cpu frequency. I try it in normal condition and running extreme application. Everytime my cpu frequency is something like 2.199 - 2.200 but never more than 2.200 ghz.

So I have to think that Turbo bost is not active on macbook pro and all the things in apple website about this feature are false!

Is it possibile? Who knows something more about this?

Greetings,

Stefano

Yes, there is Turbo Boost active on all MacBook Pros. There is no real way to measure turbo boost unless you're in BootCamp, using Intel's Turbo Boost Monitor. The Intel website states that not all CPU measuring software will correctly display the turbo frequency because it's either not current, or doesn't support turbo boost. If you have BootCamp installed go ahead and search Intel Turbo Boost Widget. download, and install it, this will give you correct results. You can't really measure turbo in OS X.
