How can I save a song that someone sent me in a text to my Iphone 4s?

I have several songs that someone sent me in a text and I just now got the Iphone and was needing to know how to save them to my phone

They cannot be saved on the phone itself. Forward to your email account, then save on your computer. And no, you cannot send songs by SMS or MMS on an iPhone.
