No camera icon on lock screen iPad 2

I have iPad 2 with iOS 5.1

Camera icon not showing on lock page. Forums say to double click home button on lock page to force camera icon to appear. It does not solve this issue. Have also reset home page. Does not solve problem. Does ipad2 have this feature? If so, how???

Thanks

iPod touch, iOS 5

The feature you are asking about is on iPhone and is not on the lock screen, but is available when you wake an iPhone and instead of having to slide to unlick the iPhone and then opening the Camera app, there is the option to swipe the camera icon to open the camera without unlocking the phone to take a picture. This feature is not on iPad.

I just wanted to add to this discussion, I think the iPad should be able to use this feature since it has a camera. I don't have an iPhone, it's too expensive as I can't pay for data and voice, but I do have an iPad and even those with both don't want to be holding their iPad and have to set it down to pull their iPhone out of their pocket and then use it's camera. It's a bit ridiculous really. Apple please add this feature.
