PreSales questions

I would like to contact Apple with a Pre Sales question about their laptop computers but am unable to find anything on the general website in this regard. This is for a friend who does not have an Apple ID or computer at present. Has Apple eliminated this capability also?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.7), Intel Duo 20" flatpanel

In other words, there is no longer an email or online capability for people doing research on particular aspect of several different computers of which Apple is only one for non-apple users. No wonder Apple is losing market share in the computer areana.

Are you daft or just not able to read? The phone number in prominently posted at http://store.apple.com/us in the upper left corner. If you are not in the US then navigate to your locale online store and you will find the phone number in the same location. BTW Apple is the only computer company that is growing market share.

The online Apple Store has never offered email contacts for presales questions. The US Apple Store offers live chat, at the top of this page:

but I don't know whether they can help with pre-sale questions. But why do you not just call them? Trust me, you'll have a lot easier time getting questions answered in an efficient way if you talk to someone directly rather than trying via email or even chat.

Or you can just go to the El Paso Apple Store and get all the answers you need:
