Dears,

Please be patient about this no sound problem. May be my experience could be of help to you. I have had exactly the same problem with iPhone 4s. there have been many solutions people have found to fixing this issue while there were many unhappy iPhone owners having problem could not fix their issue with any of the solutions posted on discussions. I was one of them until I found the new solution myself that has fixed my iPhone4s no sound condition.

Let me brief the some of the solutions mentioned on the discussions to fix the issue.those you could try before trying the one solution that fixed mine:

1. clean headphone jack. debris should be removed from it.

2. insert and remove the head phone jack while playing music.(try couple of times)

3. clean the dock connector. debris should be removed form it.

4. clean the dock connector with compressed air to get the speaker volume back on.

5. power off the iphone 4s and after few power on again. wait for couple of hours to get the speaker volume on.

etc.

I have tried all of them one by one and could not get my speaker volume working.. then i recollected a new thing that I have done recently to my iphone which i have not done before. Charging it from my car charger while it had 0% battery remaining.

So this is what I have done.

I need to drain the battery quickly to shut the iphone 4s on its own.

I disabled the auto lock, set the screen brightness to max. enable 3G, wifi, bluetooth, enable fetch in exchange connector every 5 minutes, play a graphic intensive game etc, to drain the battery quickly..

after couple of hours i saw my iphone 4s at 1% battery and in next 5 minutes it shut down automatically,

when you press the power on button now, it shows a drained battery and a power plug to indicate it requires recharge.

In this condition, connect the iphone 4s to a original apple power charger, again, i am stressing the word original apple power charger and charge to 100%.

after 2 hours of charging when it reached 100% full charge. disconnect from power and try the speaker volume.

OMG! speaker /ringer/keyclik volume is BACK AGAIN!!!!.

try this if everything else fails. if not, there may be still another solution some else will come up with.

iphon 4s is never a bad lemon. In my case it just remembered the dock connection of car charger and rerouted the speaker until I drained and recharged it again from the original apple power charger.

Good luck and best regards
