Question about repair time.

My iMac G5 isight died a 2 weeks ago(Feb 12) and now im awaiting a logic board from Apple. Till this day, the part has not been sent yet. I do not have apple care but I will definitely purchase it before my 1 year warranty expires. Does anyone have any experience with recieve logic boards for imac's from apple? Does it usually take this long? I dont know whether this is acceptable or not since ive never had a logic board replacement. Thanks alot and I appreciate any responses.
