    The iPhone doesn't have a task bar.

     

    If you are talking about the Recently Used Apps list (accessed by double-pressing the Home button) then No, there isn't.

     

    Removing all apps from there serves no purpose.

    I was told by several people if you do not clear those apps it will slow down the phone and use more battery life. I had an iPhone 4 for over a year and never had any problems and I have recently upgraded to the iPhone 4S and love it.  Last week at work we were issued iPhone 4's to use. Now everyone has questions. I had the iPhone 3 for 2 years before getting my iPhone 4 and had no problems with it either. So I guess everyone knows I know a little more about this phone than most at work or at least I know where to get the answers!  Thanks!  I will pass the info along.
