Try the following to rule out a software problem:'
- Reset. nothing is lost (you may not be able to do this).
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod
- This may provide some useful info:
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. If under warranty, Apple will replace the iPod if devective and not abused. Even if not under warranty, Apple may provide useful information.
