Crashing ... on the new 5.1 update anyone else?

Ive been crashing when I plug in my ipod touch to sync. its super annoying and I cant even sync my apps or songs, I even tried to redownload itunes doesnt work. Im guessing the new update is doing thisbecause it wasnt like this befor. Am I the only one? For me it would go up to step 3 or 4 desiding what to sync and -poof- it dies. So yeah does anyone know how to fix this problem ????? I want o sync my stuff ):
