Boot Camp 4.0.1 not letting me install Win 7

When trying to install Win 7 in Boot Camp 4.0.1 on my Mid 2010 Macbook Pro running Lion 10.7.3, I get an error saying the drivers are not on the CD/DVD. Any suggestions? Where can I get these drivers? Note that I will need to install them on a USB b/c you can't eject the Win disc.

During the process you are offered the opportunity to download the drivers/support software to be saved on an external device such as a usb stick.

Follow the instructions in the installation guide http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/boot_camp_install-setup_10.7.pdf. The guide describes how to download and save the drivers/support software.

I did download the drivers/support software & copied it to a USB drive; however, these apparently are only applicable after Windows is loaded. I'm not able to get Windows loaded...it tells me that the drivers are missing from the CD/DVD after I select the country option and then try to install. I did try to browse the USB drive to get the program to load the drivers;however, it wouldn't load them.

Hmm interesting. Maybe you should try to re-install it over again, as you may have missed an earlier step there. Re-read the manual carefully.

Also, what version of windows 7 are you trying to install? Premium, ultimate, starter... Did you buy this from a store, or did you download an iso from somewhere such as DreamSpark (Microsoft's distribution for education).

Ok...it definetly has something to do w/the version...It is a Win Pro 7 English US Only DVD made in Puerto Rico. I bought the packaged DVD from a distributor. The reason I say the problem is w/the version is that I saw another string similar to this one and the person resolved the problem by using a newer version w/an updated SP. To test this I tried to install a previously activated Ultimate version and it installed perfectly; however, I removed the partion & started over due to the fact that I only have a new activation code for Professional. When trying to install my Professional version again, I received the same message...see below.User uploaded file
