Q: I can't scan with my wireless canon 5300mg printer and there is no scan option on the printer window

I can't scan with my wireless canon 5300 mg printer and there is no scan option in my printer window. Any suggestions?

iPad, iOS 4.3.1

Check the specs and make sure your device supports wireless scanning on Mac OS X. If it does, check here

to see if Mac OS X supports your device. If it does, use Software Update to install the latest available software for it.

 

Set up your device as indicated in its user guide (without installing software—Software Update should install the latest).

 

Then use Image Capture to talk to the scanner, as shown here
