My ipod has frozen, what can I do?

My iPod nano 4th gen has frozen on the screen 'connected, Eject before disconnecting screen'

You can try resetting it. On that iPod, I believe you press and hold down the Center and Menu buttons at the same time, until the Apple logo appears on the screen.

Your the only site I found with the addition about 4th Generation or newer, that was extremely helpful. I’m a technology skeptic and bad with keeping receipts.
