Internet

I pay for internet service and requested that a tech come out to figure out why is it that I can't go online although my reception is high and all my barsfor the internet are there. After 2 times that they came out they said nothing was wrong on their end n I'm wondering if maybe I have it setup wrong on my network settings. The only time I can go online is if I tap into someones elses n not the one I pay for. Someone please help

I presume you are trying to connect to the Internet via a wireless network, is this correct?

What kind of wireless router are you using? Is its firmware up to date?

If you go to System Preferences > Network > AirPort > click on the Advanced button and then go to the TCP/IP tab, what does it say next to Configure IPv4? Do you get an IP address? If so, what is it?

Let us know, we will keep working with you.

Best of luck.
