Alternative SMC Reset for Mac Mini Late 2009

Hi;


Recently the fan of my MacMini has started to run at high spee ...even at CPU temperature 24 C.


I've tried the standard SMC reset method ...but It doesn't work. Can anyone help me?.


Till few weeks ago I had a silent MAc..and now...

Mac mini, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Hola;


I've just tried a PRAM reset and can't hear the beeps...may be it's due to I'm using a windows keyboard. I've pressed Windows + Alt + p + r keys...but nothing happened.


On the other hand I've downloaded the Temperature Monitor app, and I think something is not ok in my HD Bay 1 ...Its temperature is 127 C !!!!.


I'm goin to open my mini to take a look.

I'm back again;


Everything run ok. All the temperature sensors seemed to be on place...so in order to reset the PRAM I removed the internal 3 V battery for 1 minute. It took me a while disassembly the mac mini, but now the fan is silent mode again!!!


Thanks a lot for your support, now I go to bed because here it's 4:16 am!!!
