Phone dropped it water; everything working but.........

I dropped my phone in water. There was no damage to the screen, but I noticed that the ringer volume was not working. After allowing the phone to sit in rice, along with blow drying it, the volume began to work. I removed my SIM card, and tested out all the features on the phone. The problem is that the LED light remains on. I tried turning on the flash and then turning it off, along with restarting the device. This light will not turn off. What is the problem, and how can it be fixed?

I do believe more than one water sensor inside the iPhone needs to be activated before your warranty becomes void. Apple previously argued that only one activated sensor suggested water damage, but as there's two located on the exterior, they were forced to change their policy. Because your iPhone has been dropped into water, it's likely your warrantly plays no part in getting it repaired or replaced.

Hello Sophia,

I'd sugguest trying to dry your phone in rice (as you have tried), airing cupboard etc, anywhere warm... this will help to dry any water which maybe inside the device. Try leaving this in a warm airing cupboard for a few days, and see how this works in 2-3 days.

If this doesn't work, i'd suggest booking an appointment at the Genius Bar at one of your nearest Apple Store. Although people are saying Apple will refuse to Service or Repair your device due to the water sensors being triggered. I'm sure Apple will not turn you away without trying help or fix your problem, this may come at small fee; but it's worth a try.

Good Luck, and hope this advice come in handy. Keep us updated!
