Apple ID does not work for Apple TV
I created an Apple ID that works just fine except that when I attempt to use it on my Apple TV, I am told it is not valid. What am I doing wrong?
Apple TV, Windows 7

Welcome to the Apple community.
What are you trying to use your ID for, what is it that you are doing when it tells you it is not valid.
Thank you for your reply.
I got my Apple ID and then tried to use the "Home Sharing Setup." I entered my ID and password (and I know I entered them properly) but was given a message: "Unable to Sign In" and was told my ID could not be found or my password was inaccurate.
Have you enabled homesharing in iTunes as well trying to set it up on the Apple TV. You need to use the same ID and password in both locations.
Ah, no I have not. I will try that.
Thank you for this suggestion.
You will find the settings to enable homesharing in iTunes in the advanced menu.
Now I am ready to scream. I enabled homesharing in the Advanced memu. I was verified as having Homesharing active. I went to Apple TV to sign in, using the ID and password that just worked to allow me to download something on iTunes and I was told "Unable to Sign In." I then tried to purchase a movie on iTunes and entered my information. Again, "Unable to Sign In."
I think I have to stay with Netflix. Apple obviously does not want me to use Apple services.
Have you made sure your Apple TV is correctly connected to the Internet and that your location for the iTunes Store is set correctly. Try restarting your router
I am not very good with these technical things (that, however, should be obvious). My AppeTV works fine with Netflix, YouTube, podacsts, etc. so I assume it's hooked up properly. I went to the Advanced setting in iTunes and enabled Homesharing. I restarted my router. I am not sure what else to do.
SUCCESS!! I retarted my router again. It's now working. Thanks so much!
