Reinstalling Final Cut Pro 3

After I upgraded from a PowerMac G5 to a new a i7 iMac my old FCT Pro 3 wont work clains I need to reinstall. The G5 recently got fried, apparently overheated overnite so I cant use it. But the files were cloned to the iMac so I assumed all my work and programs were there. When I tried to reinstall from the original disc the installed claimed it was not the original disc!!

What gives?

Final Cut Pro 3 will not work on your new computer. You need at least FCP 6 (included in Final Cut Studio 2).

Bummer!

Since OSX after Tiger don't support OS9 I can't install that version either. I mostly use iMovie but for some fancy stuff I needed FC Pro. That was an expensive investment for the little use I got and not worth upgrading. Will have to look into resurecting my G5.
