what is the OS version profile of the 500,000+ reported infections?

Apple patched only Lion and SL. What of Leopard, Tiger, ... infections?

 iBook G3, 12"PowerBook G4, 15"PowerBook G4, iMac G5 20", 60GB iPod, 2GB Nano, Mac OS X (10.5.2), Mac OS X Server 10.4.11 Tiger and a Compaq V6000 Core Duo, Dell

I ran into a couple of Leopard infections on Intel Macs. PPC Macs are currently immune to this infection.


Oracle/Sun did will not patch Java 1.5.0 and below, so Apple couldn't do so even if it wanted to. As I'm sure you know Apple stopped all support to Tiger in Sep 2009 and Leopard in Jun 2011. Time to start shopping...
