What is Python.app?

Hi. In System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Firewall > Advanced, I notice there is an item named Python.App in the "allow incoming connections" list. What is Python.app and what does it do? Is this something that I want to keep in the incoming connections list? Thank

Python is a coding language. Chances are that one of your 3rd party apps runs or was written in Python - hence the message. Incoming connections may simply be a way for Python to update itself

Check what apps you recently installed and see if that coincides with the date of the Python.app
