Q: open spreadsheet in Mail

I opened a spreadsheet in Mail, and there is no way for me to close it.  I don't have Numbers, only Docs to Go.  How can I ever get back to the Inbox?

If you tap the spreadsheet you should get a Done button at the top left of it which should allow you to go back to your email. If you don't then close the Mail app complately and when you re-open it you should be able to vie your email : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.

I am having the same problem. Tapping once, twice, short, quick etc makes no difference. I can't get back to my email now. I am really unimpressed with any and all of apples UI's. They are not intuitive and far from being universally friendly! I would much rather lose a tiny bit of screen space to keep all menu options visibly available stall times. Hidden, is out of sight, out of mind and makes it hard for people to learn all that these devices can do.
