Raely that can be fixed by Disk Utility...

"Try Disk Utility

1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.

2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at the top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)

Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.

3. Click the First Aid tab.

4. Select your Mac OS X volume.

5. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.

Your best bet is DiskWarrior, you need the CD/DVD though, if you don't have another Hard Drive to boot from.

Hi BDAqua,

I am having issues with every brand new USB thumb drive I have purchased.

Every time I try create a OSX ML boot drive out of them I run into an error.

After performing a verification of the partition in hope of resolving the error I get this:

Verify and Repair volume “Mac OS X Install ESD”

Checking file systemChecking Journaled HFS Plus volume.

Invalid B-tree node size

The volume could not be verified completely.

Volume repair complete.Updating boot support partitions for the volume as required.Error: Disk Utility can’t repair this disk. Back up as many of your files as possible, reformat the disk, and restore your backed-up files.

I posted a threat to try get it resolved but hoping that you may be able to tell me if this is something those above mentioned software could fix. I really don't want to spend money on software and find out it can not fit it.
