I was trying to modify my monitor settings and hit the detect monitors button by mistake thinking it may help a sizing issue. Now after start up white screen with apple in the middle the monitor goes blank. Is there a way to restart while holding down keys to reverse this since I can't see anything on display?

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), Use Displays prefs to set a good res. 🙂
Thanks for reply. I tried that but after the apple logo and timer gear icon on the white screen finish the screen blanks out before I can get to anything.

I have the same issue now just days after a fresh reinstall. I am using the Monoprice Thunderbolt to dual link DVI adapter to connect to a 2560x1600 monitor and this has been working for along time. I think something may be wrong with my 2011 Mac Mini hardware now. Did you ever figure this out?

create a new profile, that would definitely do it. The only problem is migrating all the files and folder from the old to the new profile. There is probably an easy way to do that, but without that knowledge, you could manually do it by creating a new profile and while in the original one with the bad color profie, just copy all the files and folder you are going to need into the new one and test the new one out to make sure you have everything you need. Don't erase the first one until you are sure you have everything.
