audio cd can not be mounted on macbook pro?

Hi,

My originals audio cd don't mount in my Macbook Pro (2009 version). When inserted, it sounds like it try to mount the disc 3 time, then, as it can not, the audio-cd is automatically ejected. I have Lion installed. I would like to import my original albums in itunes for example.

I know (i read) there are some issues with this material : MATSHITA DVD-R UJ-868

Is there something to do? (new firmware, specific configuration...)

I love mac and i really hope they are working to fix this problem!

I have read this topic already but did not performed.

Now it is done but nothing change.

It seems that the SMC don't deal this optical drive issue.

Is it possible to check if the SMC has been reseted?

No.

Try cleaning the drive with a lens-cleaning disc or compressed air (very carefully). If that doesn't work either, then the drive probably needs to be replaced.

It appears that the drive is not a good one in this MacBook Pro version ( mid2009) i have replaced it with a ssd and use it with an usb connection now occasionnally. When the issue is back I just use à cd cleaner. It solves the problem most of the time...
