I updated my freecell app and now it won't work. I have tried powering down and restarting and deleting and reinstalling and it still won't work. It is the free version. When I tap the app it appears to start and then goes back to the home screen. Help!
iPad
Double tap the home button to see the task bar.(recently used apps). You may simply have too much stuff down there, and likely an earlier instance of the same game. Touch and hold any of those icons until they jiggle. Then delete the all by touching the minus sign.

Thanks for that but I've never been able to double tap the home button and get the open apps to come up. My other half can on his iPad but mine won't do this for some reason?
Just curious, what iOS version are you on? The double tap has been around for quite a while.
