How long will the update take? And will I be able to access the internet and use my computer as normal while it is downloading?

Please help! I would like to get the Mac App Store so I need to download this. But I need to access my computer while the download is taking place. For example will I be able to use Safari and Microsoft Outlook? Please reply ASAP!

You can use your machine while it is downloading. It isn't going to update until the installer is launched. How long it takes to download depends of course on your intenet connection, size of the download, and how fast the servers can send it to you.
