Please don't post here about beta software. There are confidential forums set aside for developers to use. Developer Forums. If you are a paid developer or seed tester then it's a violation of your NDA to post in these forums. If you aren't a developer or seed tester then you have an illegal copy.

    Hello Kappy

Sorry to jump in on this. I'm not a developer and I don't have Mountain Lion yet. However, I'm interested in getting Mountain Lion today but am a bit hesitant. My question is how would I go about downgrading FROM Mountain Lion back to Lion (with all my files in place) if things don't work out with Mountain Lion later today?

Thanks and sorry again for jumping in.

    Mark

Best advice is to wait for a few point updates to see how things go. Even though they are releasing a "final" today you will still virtually be a beta testa, aka guinea pig, if you get it immediately. Early versions are always plagued with undiscovered problems.

In any case, any time you upgrade, or even update, you should always have a backup on an external, either in the form of a bootable clone or Time Machine, to restore from. You should always have this kind of backup regardless. I have two external backups for redundancy.
