Updating/Upgrading From Tiger 10.4.11

I still have Tiger 10.4.11 on my MacBook Pro. My computer says there are no more updates for this software. Do I need to upgrade my software? If so, what is the best (reasonably priced) software to upgrade to? Leopard? Snow Leopard? Lion? Any advice will be helpful.

1. If you want to run software which requires a newer OS version, yes.

2. Snow Leopard.

Leopard goes for $150 or more if you can find it, 10.6 is $29.

Snow Leopard/10.6.x Requirements...

General requirements

* Mac computer with an Intel processor

* 1GB of memory (I say 4GB at least)

* 5GB of available disk space (I say 30GB at least)

* DVD drive for installation

* Some features require a compatible Internet service provider; fees may apply.

* Some features require Apple’s MobileMe service; fees and terms apply.

Which apps work with Mac OS X 10.6?...

It looks like they might still have it...

If it's a core Duo & not a Core2Duo, then it'll only run in 32 bit mode.
