Outlook Web Access in Safari (view)

Hi,

I'm using a Macbook Pro on OS X Lion (10.7.3).

My work gave me an account on Outlook Web Acces.

When i'm logged in on a windows computer I have a normal outlook view.

However, on my mac -using safari 5.1.5.- it shows a weird kind of webmail with a different font, a weird looking

view and layout and looks almost like the website hasn't completely loaded.

Does anyone know how I can fix this and can get the same view, use and layout as on Internet Explorer?

Hi...

No guarantee this will work but only takes a minute to setup.

From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.

Select: Show Develop menu in menu bar

Navigate to that account. Now from the Safari menu bar click Develop > User Agent

Try IE 9, 8, or 7

If that didn't help, go back to the Advanced tab in Safari > Preferences and deselect: Show Develop menu in menu bar.

It's working a little..

Did what you said. Selected IE 9, 8 & 7.Had the proper look but didn't show my emails

and I couldn't navigate to.. well.. anything.

Presumably, if you install Office:Mac 2011 Home and Business Edition, you get Outlook and would not have to use a web browser.

Note: The Office 2011 "Home & Student" Edition does not include Outlook for Mac.

I do have Outlook, but the Exchange account does not allow me to use exchange in Outlook. Just, POP or IMAP. That's why I posted this question about the browser version.

If you've tried this with the latest version of Chrome and you're still getting an old ugly interface you might have an older version of Outlook running on your company server (I think we use Outlook 2010).

Do not use the Internet Explorer User Agent string. I used the latest Chrome user agent string (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/536.6 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/20.0.1092.0 Safari/536.6) with Fluid and I'm getting the nice pretty outlook interface. If you use the IE string it'll try to load an active-x module.
