Hello,
Which exact Disc is this please?
Hey, when I bought my mac there have been 2 DVDs, one withe the mac operating systhem and another one with the ilife programs. Now I reinstallt my mac´s operating systhem but I am unable to install the application dvd...
Ah, I see, thanks,
Open Disk Utility, Verify both the Hard Drive & the Applications Install Disc... any errors reported?
i checked them both and neither one had any errors
i have this problem as well ,but can you please tell me how do I solve this problem.
Something to try. Boot in Safe Mode. See What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode? (Mac OS X)
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107392 Takes a while to run, but it usually "fixes" problems.
Safe Boot takes longer than normal startup
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1884?viewlocale=en_US
After it completes the Safe Mode startup, see if the application disc will install the apps.
Cheers, Tom 😉
I figured it out. After you do the reboot and erase the memory there are several updates to the operating software just click on the apple in the upper left corner click check for update instal the update restart your computer... Do this a few times then try your app install cd... It should work
RyanW245,
I appreciate you taking the time to post here. I had the same problem as several others with Applications CD showing an error. After following your advice, the app install cd worked perfectly!!
Thank you!
