keyboard is hard to type on

does anyone else think that their keyboard is unusually difficult to type on? i have to use a little too much force to type normally. my wife has commented on how much it hurts to use this keyboard. we don't think that it's dirty, because nearly every key is just the same resistance. we have the keyboard that came with our rev.B 17" 2.0gig imac. do we have a defective keyboard?

It seems like the my Apple Keyboard is getting old and it is difficult to type on. I noticed how bad it actually is because a friend of mine just got a new one to work better with her tablet in a iBook. So... hers is completely smooth and mine is getting harder every day. I tried to clean it up, but it did not work, it seems like somehow the keys are frictioning its 'plugs' on the keyboard, and there is nothing wrong with the 'kinda rubber' that is underneath the keys... removing the keys I can see that the 'rubber' is just fine, and it is still very smooth. Any idea of what I should try to get the keyborad running smooth again? Thanks VERY much.
