Apr 10, 2012 1:54 PM in response to Peter Joshuaby Michael Gibbons,HI Peter,
Thanks. No, the external hard drive is not formatted for Mac use. It's a Western Digital My World Book 4TB external drive that I just set up to work with my PC. I also was able to connect to it using my Apple MacBook Air and set up a sharing "public" folder on my desktop, but that's as far as I get when trying to copy my iphoto library to the Public folder. Any more ideas?

Otherwise, surprises abound!
