I would like to ask how to burn the 900Mb CD. I'm using apple ibook G4 12"/ Combo Drive (DVD-ROM/CD-RW). But when I start to burn it, it said there is not enough space for this. Please help me with this. Thank you very much.

I already went to Apple shop in my area (Denmark) but they can't help and they said they've never heard of 900 Mb CD before, moreover, they suggest me to buy a DVD burner WHAT A REDICULOUS!!!!

Please Help. I would like to know how to burn a 900Mb CD as it is a CD then my com must be able to burn it.

Hi,

Welcome to Apple Discussions!

Okay, this webpage has some interesting info on 99-minute/900MB CD-Rs. However, one thing they say is:

[T]hese CD-R99 media do not comply to the CD Red-Book standard. If you experienced problems using CD-R80 media then forget about CD-R99 media as it will not work at all!

Furthermore:

[T]he new CD-R99 media will not be fully useable on all CD-Writer [sic] & CD-Readers.

They also point out that the process involves overburning, an inherently unreliable means of creating a CD.

I really think a DVD writer may be the way to go here, especially if you want to maintain compatibility.

Hope this helps,

SiR G.
