Hi

This can be done - BUT IN A VERY SPECIAL WAY - there are no secure alternativ way but with a great risk to destroy everything !

Very few can do this in a secure alt. way - VERY FEW - so

DO NOT MOVE OR ALTER any folder named

• iMovie Event's - and -

• iMovie Project's

on FINDER/DeskTop - Links to iMovie will break and material might get fragmented (ruined) if landed on wrongly formatted hard disk.

A. You need an external hard disk or be able to connect the second Mac in Target-mode via FireWire

B. You must have same version of iMovie, QuickTime-player (the real heart of video-editing applications as iMovie and FinalCut) on Both Macs

C. The external hard disk - MUST BE - Mac OS Extended (hfs) formatted - UNIX/DOS/FAT32/Mac OS Exchange works for most other things - BUT NOT FOR VIDEO - whatever program used (iMovie or FinalCut)

Then connect this and open iMovie - now You see it in Event's and Project's window and can move or copy events anmd projects HERE without any problems.

The Project - is no movie at all - only a document refering back to Events and photos and Audio and How it is supposed to be played to be seen as a Movie. So if Events are not where it's refered to then it will not work.
