Hi Fred, I don't see that THE Gogle Toolbar is available for Safari at all, do you have a screen shot of what it looks like?
Have you tried logging into Your Google account & checking prefs there?
I will get a screen shot of this toolbar the next time I am at that computer, which belongs to a friend whom I am trying to assist. That mini is running OS 10.4.
What I am describing is a toolbar which shows advertising, a Google search window, and other buttons that link to Google functions which appears below the usual Safari toolbar containing the URL window and the usual search window. Many of its functions can be turned off so it is less obtrusive, but I would like to eliminate it completely.
I will also check Google prefs when I am at that computer. This window remains present when I go to other than Google pages.
Thanks for your responses.
There is an item in MacHD>Libraries>inputmanager which has the icon of a plug in but does not say Google toolbar. Could that be the culpret?
Do a Get Info on it, it should give more clues as to what plugin it is.
