I do not recieve any notifications on my text messages after i paired my phone with my ford sync.
iPhone 4S, iOS 5.0.1
To my understanding you can't use Text with SYNC on iPhone 4s. I tried and got the answer something like "you cannot text from this phone". I have a 2011 Ford Fusion and a iPhone 4s
I am not trying to text......I have issues with my iphone not sending me alerts when i get a text after i paired it with my Ford. I know it cant send or read text messages. But now i dont get alerts even when it isnt paired. I dont know if this is a problem with the iphone or with the Ford Sync.
I just got my fusion two days ago and I think originally I was still receiving alerts. However I just realized this afternoon that I stopped getting sound notifications for texts or emails. Is there a way to change it back or is this some kind of safety feature that they have?
thats my question. i dont know how to get my alerts back. looks like we have the same problem.
I have a 2012 Fusion and the IPone 4S, I use to get notifictions for about a day and lost them! Now what I do is put the phone in my lap and when a text comes in I see the screen light up. You can use Siri to read your text out loud through Sync and have Siri to reply through Sync.
The text messaging function on my Ford Escape and my iPhone 4S worked for a few weeks. Recently, it has stopped working. Has anyone had this issue also? I checked my settings on both devices and nothing has chenged.
I also to have this problem. Also when I discconet my phone my iphone has no sound I have to turn it off and back on to get the sound back. Does anyone else have this problem along with the fore mentioned no sound problem?
I now have a 2013 Ford Fusion SE and sync tells me that I can't receive or send text. I went to the dealer and the dealer said that same thing. He said he had a list of phones and that apple iphones was on them.
